24-Hour Tweetathon

We'll be twitting the hashtag: #LegendoftheSeeker again on Twitter, Tuesday, November 1st to celebrate Legend of the Seeker premiere date/birthday.

This is a 24-hour Tweetathon around the world. In other words, the Tweetathon starts at 12:01am midnight in your country and ends at 11:59pm in your country wherever you are. It will start with the first timezone (Sydney) and end in Hawaii.

To have better chances of trending #LegendoftheSeeker worldwide, please focus your tweets (or schedule your tweets) between 12 noon and 2pm Eastern (USA) Standard Time (check your timezone here).

Please remember: you can schedule your tweets days in advance with Twaitter.com.

Here are some guidelines for the Tweetathon:

• Please tweet the hashtag: #LegendoftheSeeker to tell non-fans why and where they should watch it.
• Requesting reruns of Season 1 & Season 2 can be suggested too.
• Also politely tell the networks below why they should pick up the show for a 3rd season or mini-series. The networks are:

• @ABC_Publicity <--please note the correct twitter name

• @Hulu
• @SyFy (one tweet per person please)

• Re-tweeting other fans' tweets can make it easy to join in the fun too besides helping us trend #LegendoftheSeeker faster.
• To re-tweet another Seeker's tweet with the #LegendOfTheSeeker hashtag, you can either search twitter for the hashtag, or click here: http://twitter.com/#!/search/%23LegendOfTheSeeker, and then just re-tweet the tweets with the #LegendOfTheSeeker hashtag that you like.
• Please try to retweet the "original" tweet with the hashtag, so that the hashtag doesn't get cut off.
• Please use only one hashtag per tweet.
• You're welcome to re-tweet posts from @SaveOurSeeker

Xfiles fans recently trended #XF3 by posting a total of about 16,000. We only need 160 of us posting 100 posts each. It's very doable. All we have to do is to come up with 100 reasons why you love/people should watch #LegendoftheSeeker.

This ISNT going to work, & i dont mean to sound harsh but you guys are kidding yourselves if you actually think for a second this wil work. the fandom has already decreased, as much as we hate 2 admit it, but it has & so if we actually want to make this work then we have to schedue it better, like having it be ony a certain 2 hours.. that way we'd hav ALOT of tweets per min instead of alot spread out throughout the day.. Whatever you guys decide to do, i'll still be a part of it, bc im still a huge Lots fan =)

If this worked for the Xfile fans, it can work for us! The Xfiles fans have done exactly what's posted on this thread.

We really do want worldwide participation. Here in the US, we can pick 12 noon - 2pm Eastern to focus our participation.

The tweets will be heavily concentrated in the US anyway. Again all we need is 160 people pledging to do 100 posts. I'm in of course. @SaveOurSeeker has over 3,000 followers, and @SaveOurSeeker is also doing 100 posts which followers can just re-tweet.

I also posted on the official Legend of the Seeker account on Facebook which as over 350,000 members and growing.

Active fans on the forum may have been decreased, but fans on Facebook are growing very rapidly. And we have more than a month to spread the word.

We know the fandom has actually increased since the show is airing in new countries and rerunning in others (Germany and Italy combined have at least 5 million fans).

Most fans hang out on Facebook so please pimp the Tweetathon on Facebook as much as you can. We have a month to get the word out.

Ok well I'm still skeptical but I'll of course try.. will be tweeting 4m 2 different twitter accounts...man i ReallY Hope this works.. *Fingers Crossed* & btw i didnt say that last thing as a "hater" ..if i was a hater i obviously wouldnt be on this site 2 begin with... Anyways.. Also, i wanted to share that i got a tweet from @Gabriel_Mann earlier & he said he's gonna try and get Craig Horner on his ABC show "Revenge"! I despise Twitter, but in light of the fact that I love all of you, and I love Seeker, I guess I will (OMG, Mona, run, GET A CAMERA !!!!) open a Twitter account to do this ONE LITTLE THING.

S**t, I don't even know how to find you on Twitter. You have the advantage here. I just learned a hash tag isn't something you smoke and an @ symbol doesn't mean email me (not directly anyway). You people just need to tell me what to mindlessly do for the day I took off work to Twooter and what to post. Man down, man down! Oh, wait. The pain of admitting I have Twitter account as of 12 minutes ago overwhelmed my good sense as I realized that Laura posted all the stuff I need to know in the very first post.

I will make sure all the folks on FB know about the tweeting. Subtlety be damned. I don't do anything quietly. And sarcasm isn't my forte. I have no idea what you're talking about.
