That's Dustin Clare, right? I know him from McLeod's Daughters, he was pretty good in that show, and he was okay and kind of fun in the first episode of Gods of the Arena.

If only it looked at least half as good as it did in 300...

So apparently @RealCraigParker is a fake account. Suprising since @Spartacus_Starz tweeted it as authentic...

Episode 5 is out and one thing I can say: This show is getting really good again (IMDB Rating jumped to 9.7!).
Gannicus is back and the film is action packed and exciting. Thumbs up!!

Claudius Glaber!! Unbelievable how bad this Craig Parker can get. As Darken Rahl he was not half as bad (and as naked)....

I liked the season, but I also think the 1st one was better. The story, the episodes in genereal were better in season 1, IMO.
And in this season there were too much ridiculously abrusd killings. Like too much beheadings and a chopped off face or skull ...etc. And they looked too fake even in the show's stantard. They should stick to the stabings, occasional chop off of a limb, fake blood and slow motion, they don't need to over do that.

The finale was emotionally charged, visually stunning and gloriously violent.

I liked V as much as BS, yes it initially lacked some of the emotional and physical intensity, I think mainly due to the expanded storyline, no longer confined within the walls of the ludus and arena, something BS benefitted from.

On the whole the performances were much improved (remember the hilariously bad but guilty pleasure BS opener), Liam did a good job, I don't think he will match the deadly intensity of Andy's killer glare but he played the role his way and am looking forward to him as Spartacus in season 3 when the focus should be back on him as the general of the slave army, he certainly proved he's got what it takes in the finale.

Visually the show remains stunning, still can't believe the entire show is filmed in a studio, with sets and green-screen.

Apart from the new Naevia who I thought was pretty awful, there wasn't much I disliked, perhaps Agron was a little one dimensional, Mira a little unfulfilled, Gannicus's accent/mumble. Batiatus left a gaping hole which was never really filled adequately by the plotting Roman gentry. Perhaps a couple of visits to the brothel too many.

Once again Lucretia and Ilythia were superb and Ashur and Glaber were moustache twistingly great baddies.

Goodbye to Capua, very much looking forward to Caesar and Crassus chasing Spartacus across Italy in season 3.

ya sometimes the gory killing got to be just to over the top and not believable and naevia wasn't good. and i am looking forward to next season, hopefully ceaser and crassus will fill the void of lead bad guy well. don't get me wrong, craig parker as glaber was awesome but he just didn't seem to live up to batiatus and the ludos.

Found it a little surprising, how many main-characters again were killed in the end. It´s hard for a show to start every season with new heroes and villains.
Emotional the dying didn´t get me as much as in BS or GotA - maybe there were too many
Liam improved, but he still is too stiff, also didn´t like Naevia much. Gannicus is still great, dont´t mind his mumbleing, Crixus is the one I didn´t understand, he is croaking - what´s the matter with his voice??
And most important: Craig Parker should now be available for another role...

Steven De Knight has tried to stay true to history (as possible), so the real-life characters like Glaber died as history dictates...

Although there are no records detailing the death of Glaber his militia of 3000 men was indeed defeated by Spartacus at the base of Mount Vesuvius, there are no records of Glaber after this date.

Lucretia and Ilythia's fates were entwined really, couldn't have one without the other, Steven said that despite his love for the character's their storylines had come to a natural end. Lucretia got her revenge and Capua won't be in season 3.

Oenomaus survived the battle at Vesuvias but is thought to have died in another battle shortly after, also his storyline with Gannicus was resolved (also got a part in the new season of True Blood).

Mira's death was the only slight surprise, her character could've been developed more but as her relationship with Spartacus ended so did her storyline.

I thought the death will Glaber could have been delt with a little better. Spartacus spent 1 1/2 seasons trying to kill him and Glabers death seemed to quick.

Glaber spent most of season 1 in Rome - I thought fighting his way through Glaber's men, beating him man to man, a few last words followed by a sword down the throat was more than sufficient
