Hi Newbies! Thanks for joining us and welcome to the fight for Legend of the Seeker. We’ve been going at this for a while and I thought you might appreciate an overview of some of the things we’ve done, and are doing.
First and foremost, I must state that: LotS has been cancelled.Don’t waste your time wondering if it was cancelled. It was. No one has made an official announcement so please don’t look for one. In a nutshell, it was cancelled because of Tribune’s bankruptcy. The rights are now held by Disney (as far as we know).
Right now, one of our major endeavors is to find LotS a new home. Here is a list of the networks we have contacted in no particular order:
Showtime, OWN, HBO, FX Network, Starz, DirecTV, The CW, NBC Universal, TNT, TBS, BBC America, CBS, Trifecta, Debar/Mercury, SyFy, Fox, Ion, SFM, Warner Bros., Spike TV, G4, E1 Entertainment, Dish Network, Sony Pictures Television, Legendary Pictures, AMC Channel, OWN, Netflix, EPIX, Hulu, MTV, youtube
*SyFy has politely requested that we no longer contact them through twitter or email. Please do NOT tweet or email them as this was their major complaint. Probably better that we don't contact them at all for now.
One of our main objectives is to find LotS a new home. In that respect, we have an ongoing letter writing campaign to various TV network execs. We are asking them to pick up LotS for a third season. I will also post the addresses on this thread when they become available. Please concentrate all of your letters to whomever we are writing that week.
Journey Book Campaign - Every week for the month of April

When writing your letters please remember to be polite. Negativity will get us nowhere. Here is an excellent link illustrating that point: http://www.whedon.info/Emily-Post-s-...-Save-Our.html
Worried about postage costs? Send a postcard to the networks. See the The Seeker Picture Repository http://bit.ly/d8Ydky There are many from which to choose. Postcard backings and instructions are on page 2 of this thread. No excuses! Please get something in the mail. Every letter or postcard counts! Yes, your one letter counts!
We must also concentrate our efforts on the season 2 DVD drive. http://bit.ly/c6dce8 Sales of both season 1 and 2 DVDs are extremely important, actually, they’re crucial. Please do what you are able in that regard. If your local store doesn’t offer LotS DVDs, you can always jump on-line and request
the store carry them on their shelves.
If you purchase ANY item from amazon, please use this link: http://amzn.to/SOSdotcom A portion of the proceeds will go to the SOS campaign fund.
http://hulu.com now has the first season of LotS. It's free, fun and important. It's owned by NBC 32%, Fox 31% and ABC 27%. They pay for sponsors to advertise on Hulu so it's important that LotS stay, if possible, on the first page of most watched shows. Just go to Hulu.com.
Please mention the show to everyone you know. Go to your friends, your family, the neighbor you like, the neighbor you never talk to, people in malls and that weird guy who always sits alone at lunch. We need to grow the fan base. This will make the series more attractive to the networks and encourage them to pick up the show.
Want to bid on a DVD autographed by Craig Horner or Bridget Reagan or other Seeker merchandise? Check out http://bit.ly/cBmXwq for details. If you'd like to do more, you may donate an autographed item to be auctioned.
Another excellent link here: http://sot-fan.livejournal.com/4083.html There is a ton of useful information on this link. Much can be done with little to no cost.
Also very important are donations: http://www.saveourseeker.com/ Donations have helped with our adverts, DVD drive, items for comic cons and much more. Also, buy LotS DVDs, Books and other items using Amazon.com via the saveourseeker website and a percentage will go to the campaign.
Facebook has a group dedicated to LotS: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=269657990457
It’s free to join and only takes a moment. Don’t forget about twitter. Bridget Regan is on twitter and has a large following. We often try to trend on twitter. It’s also free to join. Twitter.com
I'll do my best to keep this up to date and am sure that I have forgotten something so more will be added later. Until then, I think there is enough here to keep you busy. Please don't let the size of the forum intimidate you. Just start out by mailing your letters and postcards and slowly check out the rest of the threads. You'll like it here.![]()
