I just saw this post, very exciting! I guess it's extra important to contact ABC now to show our firm support in them continuing the show. I'm only a bit confused as to why they would choose not to; If Starz picks up the show, what role does ABC play?

This time, Disney/ABC is done with the show. If they don't sell, they're not going to make any money from it and the rights will revert back to Terry Goodkind in time.

Do we know when the rights would revert to Mr. Goodkind? And if the worst should happen and Season 3 has not happened by then, would he have the power to make it happen?

I just got off the phone with Starz and the nice woman said (damn, I'm so excited and I'm having a hard time typing, sorry). "They are waiting to get the license from ABC and then they'll make an announcement." That's what the lady said. Can I yell now? Can I,please, please? This is the best news ever. I don't know if it's for sure, but it damn well sounds like it.

So did I do good? YES... You can call on the weekends, so call. I just can't stand it right now, lord, help me. Yes, pleas. I'm down on my knees now.

I think my heart stop for a few seconds when I read that. I have to believe that Starz and ABC/Disney will come to an agreement when they have agreed on other things. I'm thinking ABC/Disney will probable lease the license so they still get money for the show but that would be just my opinion. I really don't care if they sell out right or lease it as long as LotS comes back on. I have letters going out tomorrow and here is my fingers and toes crossed.

I'd say so. @ProjectCould stated a while ago Disney/Abc would not produce season three. I tell them I hope the show continues as fans would be devestated otherwise, but If they truly have no futher use for it, I hope they allow it to continue on another network should a buyer step forward. That way you're suggesting whichever depending on circumstances. Somehow though guys, whilst we shouldn't take anything for granted at this stage because we all seem a bit worried Disney/ABC won't sell, Disney sold "Narnia" to Fox after word they were done with it - and I didn't think that'd happen - so I do think Disney/ABC will sell should Starz offer the right price. Also I tweeted ProjectCould saying I really hope they will, the tweet I got back was 'Of course they will accept an offer for a production they are no longer using' Letters to Disney/ABC are important still but I am a bit more hopeful this will work out now. Praying!

The news are becoming more and more exciting! My heart is still beating fast after reading this! Like many of you I also don't want to get too much excited until an official announcement because I fear if ABC-Disney at the end decides not to sell the show to STARZ I will be heartbroken again as I was when Syfy tried to negociate with them and failed.
The truth is that I have a lot of faith and can't prevent myself from being excited about the recent news! I keep my fingers crossed that we'll get an official announcement next week! If anyone from STARZ is reading our board, you have to know that we LOVE YOU for trying to save our beloved show! Like we say in the Midlands "May the Spirits be with you!"! You have a worldwide passionate Seeker fandom supporting you!
If in the end the deal isn't made, I will be beaten down, but what I learnt from the show, the books and this amazing fandom is to grow even stronger when we are beaten harder. So whatever happens, I'm sure we will never give up!
