Jenn made a very good point about the Mord'Sith but I was hoping that you'd also say that the relationship between Cara and Dahlia was done in a mature way, not just exploitng the characters, if you agree with that. A bit more praise for Tab would've been nice too, but I guess that's just the fan in me talking.

It was a great podcast, always great to listen to you guys. And I don't mind if the episode is long, in fact I think they should be even longer. And I loved it when Jenn said that she'll just voice her counter argument when Kurt won't be there.

Great podcast again guys (even with just 5% of Kurt). I did want to make one point in the whole Kurt vs Jenn wars (maybe it's not a full scale battle yet ). I do see Jenn's point regarding the mord-sith being trained by other mord-sith and always torturing men which at least in part has a hand in their sexual orientation. It makes sense in the show as to the way mord-sith are depicted. It's also reasonable to assume that the writers would add traits from other characters into Cara.

Kurt was talking about Cara from the books and in regards to that the way mord-sith are depicted in the show is not an accurate representation of them as created by Terry Goodkind.

I will add it in a spoiler just in case someone doesn't want to know the books.

    Spoiler: Mord-sith from the books

The trainers of mord-sith were men (at the very least we know that Denna and Constance were trained by a guy and Denna in part by Darken Rahl himself). As Berdine explained to Richard she was into girls even before she became mord-sith. It also goes back to the fact that mord-sith were nothing more than slaves of the Lord Rahl and their only purpose in life was to protect him from other wizards and sorceresses and to torture them to death. They weren't trained in the art of seduction just plain old torture, of course they were allowed to take mates and some of them would have had a little pleasure in that.
On the same vein Cara is not depicted in the same manner even if we include traits from other mord-sith (Berdine and Raina were both one way as well just the opposite from Cara).

This makes the Mord'Sith in the show look more interesting to me.

Sometimes I feel like the more I find out about the books, the less I like them.

That maybe true for you and for a lot of other people as well, I am simply pointing out the difference.

It's all a matter of opinion, you can ask two people what they think of the books and you might get two totally different answers. In your particular case I am not sure if you would like the books since the books are not about Cara but Richard and Kahlan. There is a lot of Cara later in the series but she is a supporting character and hence not the focus of the story. We are getting a bit off-topic so I will stop before Kevin brings down the hammer.

I don't want that either but a quick note: I'm not saying that because Cara isn't the main character, I know that, it's many different things that are bugging me.

Like I said before the best way is to read it first before you make an opinion on it (That was a quick note as well )

Wonderfull cast today, I have just finished it. Love the recaps, love the reading of the episode, and the audio from the show. Currently I am watching from ep 8 till ep 20 of S2 - again I love the show. As you may have read from the Renewal Warwagon, I am from Serbia. A complete backwater to be able to promote Legend of the Seeker to the fullest. There are some that have heard about the show, but other then that - completely unknown. Sci Fi and Fantasy are very low on interest here. I feel as if I am the only one that is IN the Fantasy genre. Last year we got the Sci Fi channel with Polish program listing, and that's when I discovered Legend of the Seeker.. I remember Xena, and Hercules and I even enjoyed the movie Beastmaster, not the TV show.
Anyway, I love to listen to you guys and gal and still have great hope that this show will go on. There are so many stories to be told from the books and out of them as we saw over the seasons. Each time I watch any of the episodes I always find something that connects them to the books, and there is a lot of it. All right, a little bit or more different, but it is there. I have read all of the books watching the Season 1, and I am still returning to them today.
Thanks once again..keep up the good work!!

Thanks for all of the great discussion. That's what makes this story so much fun - everyone can read their own interpretation into both the books and the series!

Hey guys, great podcast. Finals are over WHOO HOO!!

Now I finally have the time to post on an actual epi.

I was like oh snap, my girl cara has fallen off the wagon and gone and stun gunned my zedd with her agiels. I was like yippee the A team finally got the stone of tears for all of like 10 minutes before they done gone and lost it. Darken Rahl is back to his evil self, muuuhhaaaa. The breaking scene’s were classic I almost believe I have converted over to cara now being my favorite character. Did Rahl really kill the child or is he lying to cara to try and break her???? I’m with Kurt and you guys on this one, those 1st gen people were a little creepy, specially that asa. Jen’s interpretation of the mord sith was cool, I did not take it in the perspective until now, and it totally makes sense. I’m so lookin forward to the finale, I’ve looked at the promo pics and from the last epi, I am just totally flabbergasted and I have no clue where they are going with this ending. I sure hope the A team gets cara back on their side. Lovin the clips jen in the recap. Ya’ll are da bomb diggity Thanks for giving me some seeker fandom in the middle of the week to get from epi to epi

Lookin forward to the bookie casts and future show casts, here’s hopin we get another season

    Hi Seeker Cast team!

Your podcast is such a treat. I can't wait for the Bookie Cast.

I listed to your "Eternity" podcast last night on my flight back from JFK to SFO, and have to tell you, it made those long hours go so much faster! And I couldn't stop giggling about Jenn's comment on the animated GIFs: "Did I say that twice?" Yeah, you really did

I think "Eternity" was may be the best episode in terms of acting. Craig and Tab should get an Emmy for the cliff scene and the torture scenes respectively. Wow!

Definitely don't want to meet any of those creepy people in a dark alley.

    Enjoy "Unbroken" this weekend!!!
