Cara is no doubt a main character in this mix; however she must undergo more changes than Kahlan to be accepted by others. Once this season comes to a close, she will no doubt be very close to R&K(as she was in the books), and will have clearly changed from a Mord Sith to a loyal follower of the Seeker. Hopefully, Kahlan and the rest of the group will get their little background stories to shed the layers of their personalities, too. True, the love story between R&K can get a bit over used, but like in the books, they were always torn apart by one thing or another. That constant struggle to stay together introduced all the other memorable characters, and Richard using his powers to overcome his separation from Kahlan, and her strong will to keep him on his quest, despite the separations, is the glue to the story.
